Global Atlantic names Dan Farrelly head of IMO and IBD channels
Global Atlantic has named Dan Farrelly head of its independent marketing organization and independent broker-dealer channels, the company announced Tuesday.
Farrelly brings more than 20 years of experience in annuity distribution across the bank, broker-dealer and IMO channels. Based in New York, he will oversee Global Atlantic's relationships across the IMO and IBD channels and work with distribution partners to expand access to the company's retirement products.
"Dan brings deep experience building and leading distribution businesses and a strong understanding of the IMO and IBD channels," said Emily LeMay and Jason Bickler, co-heads of individual markets at Global Atlantic. "As we continue to grow our Individual Markets business, Dan's experience will be valuable as we expand our presence across these channels and support our distribution partners."
According to the company, independent agents and independent broker-dealers accounted for more than $200 billion in annuity sales in 2025, citing LIMRA data.
Farrelly most recently served as head of annuity distribution at Prosperity Life Group. Prior to that, he was senior vice president and head of bank and broker-dealer channels at Fidelity & Guaranty Life. Earlier in his career, he held roles at Athene USA, Fidelity & Guaranty Life and AXA Equitable.
"I'm excited to join Global Atlantic at an important time for the IMO and IBD channels," Farrelly said. "The opportunity across independent distribution is incredibly compelling, and Global Atlantic brings the insurance expertise, retirement focus and commitment to innovation to make a real difference for our partners and their clients."
Global Atlantic is a retirement security and investment solutions provider and a wholly owned subsidiary of KKR.
